Biography
Wei Yu, PhD is a Health Economist at the VA Health Economics Resource Center (HERC). His research interests cover budget impact analysis, healthcare cost determination, insurance payment method, cost-effectiveness analysis, and healthcare system evaluation and reform. Prior to his HERC position, he was a research assistant professor at Boston University Medical School. Between 2006 and 2014, he was a professor of public economics and administration and taught health economics and cost effectiveness analysis at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and conducted research on China's health system reform, financing policy on public hospitals and physician compensation. He returned to HERC in 2014.
