Welcome to the CIRB Evaluation Page
The CIRB Evaluation is assessing the costs and benefits of the National Cancer Institute’s Centralized Institutionalized Review Board (CIRB). We are assessing costs and timing of the CIRB relative to local IRB review. To gather these data, we are contacting sites that are currently involved in NCI-sponsored phase III oncology trials and administering questionnaires depending on which activity these sites have most recently completed, e.g. initial review, continuing review, amendment review.
This evaluation is funded by the National Cancer Institute’s, but the investigative team is completely independent of NCI, as is noted in the attached letter of support from NCI (downloads section).
